SO behind, oh boy! The next thing on the list is three turn ons... I'm assuming this means sexy, weak in the knees, rattling my cage turn ons, so don't look for any profound thoughts here!
1. Nice hands
2. A bright, frequently used smile
3. Self-confidence. But not cockiness or assholishness. That's no good. I don't like that.
I started this blog at 3:58 AM on a night when I couldn't sleep. I have no idea what I will post here. Also, to be perfectly clear, I will probably shoot my mouth off about food and working out and other stuff in which I have NO formal background. Not a doctor. Don't take my word for it. Carry on!

Restless
I'm restless again, kind of have been off and on for months now. Something's going to change this year. Soon. I'm not sure what, but it'll be good. or at least not boring.
Day something or other - 4 Turnoffs
1. Talking down to me
2. Interrupting me or anyone else who is talking
3. Eating with your mouth open / mouthbreathing
4. Being me to me and/or anyone I care about

Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever)
I feel bad doing this one, because if someone's not on this list, it's not that he or she doesn't mean anything to me.
For this one though, I'm thinking back to people who have caused me to make major changes in my life. Sometimes, even just one small thing someone says or does makes me make a change. And it doesn't always have to be a positive comment - someone being rotten to me has also inspired change. A great big middle finger to the nay-sayer :)
1. Ray Suarez - I was at an especially un-focused time of my life, kinda bumping along. I always loved him on Talk of the Nation, then one day, I was in my 1998 Escort, driving over the Lorain Carnegie bridge to my shitty job at the phone company, and he did a show about community colleges. The show was all about how you can get a good education at them for not a lot of money. A week later, I was tri-C's newest "returning student", and I went on to finally get my degree from CSU.
2. Every horrible boss I've ever had. While they may have beaten me down temporarily, their "special brand of motivation" (to quote Glittergirl1970) spurred me on to better things.
3. My parents - Obvious
4. The doctor who treated Tom's cancer
5. Whoever invented GaiamTV. The BEST 10 dollars a month I spend. I use their workout and yoga videos almost every day.

Day Five - Six Things I wish I'd Never Done
This is a really tough one. I do goofy, stupid stuff daily. Hourly sometimes, when I'm on a roll. There's not much I can look back and not at least have learned something from. My life would be very different without the decisions I've made, and I don't know that it would be better. I have a great life now, I wouldn't change it. But since I HAVE to... this is my list...
1. Started drinking. Oh the money and bodily harm I'd save.
2. Bought into a business that was a fucked up mess, so we lost it all. This one, I'm not sure I've learned anything from it yet. Hopefully someday.
3. Bought our former house. Money pit.
4. Stayed at Insurance.com so long.
5. Been so loyal to some people who didn't deserve it or return it.
6. Gotten rid of this awesome Fender amp I had just because I was lazy and didn't feel like carrying it around while I moved (I had it in my more 'nomadic' days)

Day Three - 7 Things that Cross My Mind a Lot
1. What is _____ doing right now? (usually what is Tom doing, or our cats, or my dad)
2. Did I shut off the coffee pot before I left the house?
3. Why don't I have more ambition when I get home from work every day?
4. What should have have for lunch/dinner/whatever meal is coming up next
5. My posture at work sucks
6. Will I ever be able to retire?
7. I REALLY need to see a really, really great movie soon (I am in a constant state of needing to see a really, really good movie)

Day Three
Day Three - Eight ways to win my heart
1. Have a southern accent and call me "Darlin'" in a nice, slow drawl
2. Wink at me
3. Have a nice rack and let me ogle it (is that how you spell it? I don't know, how about 'let me leer at it'!)
4. Talk to me about something you know a lot about, sound smart and sure of yourself, but not condescending. Bonus if you use your hands in moderation while you do what's listed above
5. Be nice to my friends
6. Play music, preferably something I like, but I might cut you some slack if you're at least really into what you're doing
7. Make me laugh
and it will come as no surprise...
8. Be bald

Day 2.1
I sorta punted yesterday. I was in a moooood.... wowsa! The picture I posted was of a chat I had with my friend/co-worker/subservient work wife.
Let me try again! Some of these are no secret I'm sure...
1. If I could do absolutely anything else in the world, I would be a writer
2. I've never spent a night in the hospital
3. I don't like sleeping with any part of my body hanging off the bed, like a hand, foot, etc. Too many horror movies watched equals irrational fear of the thing under the bed
4. I wish I travelled more
5. I took a year of Portuguese in college
6. I'm afraid of growing old
7. I hate talking on the phone
8. I want to be in a new band but have no idea what kind of music I want to play
9. If I had been a housewife in the 70's, I'm pretty sure I'd have been hooked on pills

10 Things
I stole this from Tessa who stole this from someone else, and so on and so on!
Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever)
Day Seven: Four turn-offs.
Day Eight: Three turn-ons.
Day Nine: Two images that describe your life right now, and why.
Day Ten: One confession
Normally I would overthink this, and write it all out on paper, edit it, revise it, redo it, over and over before I'd post it here. Let me try just going for it... all 'caution to the wind-y'!
1. You make me nervous and I think I make you nervous, too. I think we should just live with that, it's ok.
2. Don't you ever get tired of saying stupid shit that doesn't even make sense? You HAVE to be done talking now.
3. I'm really ok if we never see each other again. Please let's just pretend we don't see each other when we're out at the same place at the same time.
4. I like you. I don't get to see you nearly often enough.
5. You meant well, and you tried I guess, but you really didn't get it. I wanted help, and I needed help, and you could have given it to me, but you didn't. It wasn't about you, but you made it that way. I don't hold it against you, but it was disappointing.
6. Grow a pair.
7. The Napoleon Dynamite cartoon is terrible. You are a bad person for putting it on TV.
8. I miss you so much, sometimes I can't even breathe.
9. Something you said back in 1994 still sticks with me. I still remember it, and it still motivates and inspires me.
10. I hope you at least learned something from your mistakes.

Dream, night of January 22
Last night I dreamt that I returned to North Carolina to play at a the Heavy Rebel Weekender (a 3 day extravaganza of rockabilly, punk, country, bluegrass... etc....) Somehow though, I got booked to play the kids room. There is no such thing at the real Heavy Rebel Weekender, but dream HRW had one.
As I was setting up, there was kids music playing in the background, piped into the room. I tried to tune it out, but then I realized that the song playing was my song "I Like It When You're Nude", but it was being sung by Kermit the Frog.

The last time I blogged
The last blog I had was when I was unemployed for about 4.5 months. That one was easy - I just posted random pictures and talked about stuff I did when I had all the time in the world.
This one's harder, I'm a little stuck on what to write about. I'll get there though. I do have super vivid dreams, lots of 'dreams within dreams'. I would like this to be part dream journal. Once I have a dream I remember, I'll tell you about it. And you will be FASCINATED :)

How many clicks does it take?
Remember those Tootsie Pop commercials? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop? One.. two-hoo-hoooooo... THRRRRREEEE! That's about how many clicks it took to get to the center of my brain, at 3:58 AM. I mean, how many clicks it took to start this blog. When the Pussyfoot Girls were together, one was named Tootsie Pop. God, it bums me out that I can't remember her intro! I used the same intro for everyone for pretty much every show! I was Queen LaTata. "Bushmills is my drink, Tommy Bones is my man, and THESE, are my girls!' Ah blogging :)
